Hi, Welcome to my profile.

My main areas of practice include:

  • Men’s mental health

  • Trauma and abuse

  • Relationships and couples therapy

When working together, my aims are to always provide you with the support and understanding you need, in order for you to identify any challenges that may have an detrimental impact on your day to day living. This could include the development of specific skills or goals, as well as a greater understanding and awareness of yourself, your emotions, thoughts and feelings.

I also work in the belief that knowledge and awareness are key factors in understanding how we function as individuals. By fully grasping what actually happens to us emotionally, psychologically and physically, we can begin to process and change how we think, feel and behave.

Relevant. Qualifications.

I have an undergraduate degree BSc (hons) in ‘Criminology and Psychological Studies’ and a Post Graduate Diploma in ‘Person Centred Counselling’ which I completed at the University of Aberdeen, gaining a distinction.

I also have an ‘Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Relationship Therapy’ from ‘Affinity Psychotherapy Academy’ in London’, this qualification is accredited by the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the National Council of Psychotherapist’s.

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

I also studied a further professional qualification with the University of Strathclyde, to gain additional skills which assists me when working with younger children and teenagers.
